Dr Sanjay Trehan has earned his PhD from the University of Hawaii, USA and a postdoctoral fellowship from Harvard University, USA. He joined Panjab University in November 1989 in the Department of chemistry where he worked till October 2001 and subsequently, joined Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories as Director of research where he worked till June 2004. He joined the Company as Senior Vice President in July 2004 to set up the New Drug Discovery Research Centre and was subsequently promoted as President of Discovery Research and then as Chief Mentor in September 2018. Since February 2025, he is working as Director - Technical & Compliances at the Company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Panacea Biotec Pharma Limited.
